- what is the TSURI knitting machine ? it is a traditional knitting machine dating from 1907. this slow operating technic is referred as "slow vintage" by the Wakayama artisans. with no needle tension applied to the yarn, the fabric develops an incredible soft feel that cannot be replicated on modern day equipment. this method of knitting produces superior texture and quality fabric that is strong and cozy on the skin. after washing, garments will stay supple, keep their shape and age better.
